Orthodontic Therapist · GDC No: 200343
Gustavo (Gus) is a GDC‑registered Orthodontic Therapist with over 15 years of experience in NHS and private orthodontic practice. Trained at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), he is committed to delivering safe, evidence‑based, and patient‑centred orthodontic care.
He provides the full scope of Orthodontic Therapy, including — but not limited to — fixed appliances, aligners, functional appliances, surgical exposure and bonding treatments for tooth retraction, and retention management.
In 2019, Gustavo authored and published a book in Orthodontics aimed at both professional and public audiences, sharing clinical insight alongside accessible patient education. This achievement led to an international knowledge‑exchange opportunity in South Korea, further broadening his clinical perspective and exposure to global orthodontic practice.
Gustavo was also awarded a medal for his contribution during the COVID‑19 pandemic, presented through a St John Ambulance Charity Award and endorsed by the NHS England’s National Director for Vaccination and Screening. This recognition reflects his commitment to public health and service during a period of national emergency.
Alongside his clinical work, Gustavo has held senior leadership and supervisory roles within NHS services, contributing to clinical governance, digital innovation, and service development. His approach combines clinical precision, strong communication, and a genuine commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for every patient.
Outside of professional life, Gustavo enjoys sailing and swimming with his family — activities that reflect his appreciation for discipline, balance, and wellbeing.
